Celebrating Equipo Esperanza

Lorenzo 10 years and Cuquis 20 years with Esperanza

The biggest gratitude and gracias to our block technician of 10 years, Lorenzo, and our accountant and administrator of 20 years, Cuquis. If you’ve been volunteering awhile, you have likely met them both. We are super grateful for their hard work, dedication, big hearts, and all they do to make Esperanza function. Muchas gracias y felicidades!

My experience with Fundación Esperanza has been fulfilling throughout this period, supporting and helping people build homes where they can live with their families. Likewise, the camaraderie and fellowship with the American groups has always been a learning experience and a source of personal growth.

"Twenty years ago, I embarked on a journey that, at the time, I never imagined would become such an important part of my life. I arrived at FEM full of enthusiasm, eager to learn, and with the desire to contribute to others, just as I had been taught throughout my life, and something I am proud of as part of my heritage. Over time, this place became much more than a job… it became my second home, MY ESPERANZA FAMILY, where I grew, where I challenged myself, and where I discovered what I am capable of.

During these two decades, I have been fortunate to experience different stages and face numerous challenges within the organization. Each challenge became an opportunity, and each change a new learning experience, revealing how each day brings a new life lesson. I have learned that the true value of work lies not only in the tasks we perform, but in what we do with our hearts and in the people with whom we share our journey.

I am deeply grateful for all the opportunities I have been given, as well as for the trust placed in me and for the connections I have made. Every project, every day, and every stumble has been part of a story that has shaped me and allowed me to grow.

Thank you to this wonderful organization for allowing me to grow, for giving me a space where I can contribute the best of myself.

Thank you to all of you: Boards, Volunteer Groups, Colleagues, to my dear friends, both those who are still with us and those who have passed on, to everyone who has been part of this journey, to those who have taught, challenged, and supported me.

Thank you to my family for their support through the good times and the difficult times of this growth.

Today I celebrate these 20 years with a heart full of gratitude, with great joy, and with the conviction that there is still much to learn and challenges to face, and above all, moments that will continue to enrich this path we share.

Thank you, truly, for making these twenty years so meaningful in my life."
