Familia Amador Valladares Story

"My experience with Esperanza has been a beautiful coexistence. It's been very pleasant and very helpful together with the technicians who have supported us and have cleared up our doubts so that my house will be well-made from nothing to everything. Yes, there were moments when my body couldn't take it anymore, from exhaustion, but at night I would pray and give thanks to God, because it was my house that we were all building as a team and that gave me strength. To this day, I give thanks to each and every one who participated in my project. May God bless you and continue to use you to bring more joy to families seeking a dignified home... For many years without building at last I have my house and thanks to everyone who collaborated in the construction of my home. God bless Esperanza for making the dream of having dignified housing come true for many.

With Gratitude, Familia Amador Valladares"

Corporate Matching Gifts and Volunteer Grant Program

Double or even triple your gift to Esperanza International!

Make your gift go even further through a gift-matching program! Some companies will even match gifts made by retirees and spouses of employees. Many companies have a matching gift program with Esperanza International.

Companies use these programs to encourage volunteerism in local, national, and international communities. Companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer on a regular basis or for an extended stretch of time. Companies either provide a set monetary donation for every hour an employee volunteers or provide grants once employees reach certain thresholds.

For example:

A company may provide a $10 grant for every hour an employee volunteers up to $10,000 annually.
Or a company may offer cash grants for nonprofits once an employee volunteers for at least 20 hours in a year.

Be sure to ask your Human Resources Representative at your place of work if they provide this opportunity!

Another opportunity to give is through Thrivent. Thrivent members can designate their "Choice Dollars" to a non-profit of their choosing annually. Now you can choose Esperanza! Esperanza's unique ID is: 520156706.  Be sure to ask your Thrivent representative

Many businesses provide the opportunity (for example the King County Employee Giving Program of WA*, United Way, etc) for employees to donate a portion of their paycheck directly to their favorite non-profit. This is great for any supporter of Esperanza, but especially great because it can give anyone the opportunity to have their donation make a much bigger impact (think from donating a hammer, to building an entire home!).

For example: Donating just $5 from each paycheck could end up around $120 year, and over many years your gift adds up to supporting something so much bigger. Everyone should have the opportunity to support an organization they love, and employee giving programs help you do that!

Ask your Human Resources representative if your place of work offers employee giving or paycheck donations!
