Community Development

The Lomas del Valle community is made up completely of Esperanza families and home recipients. This FAV community continues to meet regularly to pay towards their homes and fund new ones for their neighbors. Here is what one family in this community said:

"In the self-construction process of our home, we realized that part of the process and the project is trust: trusting the foundation and its work, and trusting the hands that help lift it from the foundation to the roof. It is a great pride to say that the house in which we live was made with love for our neighbor, hope in the world, will, disinterest in receiving something in return, effort and time; well, all this was demonstrated by all the volunteers who came to our aid. Thanks to all of them and to the construction technicians for such noble work, because from the first day we inhabited the house we felt a great tranquility and warmth of home."
